Director, Industry & Supply Chain – Digital Standards Initiative

About the role

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is seeking a Director to lead its Industry and Supply Chain work within the Digital Standards Initiative in Singapore. The role focuses on transforming global trade through the adoption and interoperability of digital trade standards across the end‑to‑end supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Operationalise and drive adoption of digital trade standards.
• Engage industry stakeholders to raise awareness and promote uptake.
• Build capacity within organisations to implement standards effectively.
• Support pilots, proofs‑of‑concept and case studies to demonstrate benefits.
• Identify and address gaps in standards across sectors, industries and supply‑chain functions.
• Develop new standards or enhance existing ones, ensuring inclusivity of smaller and under‑represented players.
• Promote technical and semantic interoperability between different standards and platforms.
• Create frameworks for digital trust, security and verification to encourage widespread adoption.
• Facilitate cross‑industry collaboration to ensure compatible and reinforcing standards.
• Develop assessment programmes to evaluate digital readiness across the supply chain.
• Provide training, tools and resources to improve digital maturity of organisations.
• Scale programmes to support industry‑wide adoption and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with international organisations, trade bodies and technology providers to accelerate innovation and standard harmonisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industry and supply‑chain contexts.
• Familiarity with digital trade standards and their implementation.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead pilots, develop frameworks and drive large‑scale adoption.
