Director of Rewards

About the role

The Director of Rewards is a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the regional compensation and benefits strategy. Reporting to the Regional Lead of Rewards, this role ensures that reward programs attract, retain, and motivate talent across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, the regional CHRO, and HR Business Partners on complex compensation and benefits matters.
• Co‑lead the design, continuous improvement, and governance of the regional compensation and benefits framework and policies.
• Lead market intelligence, benchmarking studies, and job grading architecture to maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end year‑end compensation review process, including budget modelling, system readiness, configuration, testing, and execution.
• Provide governance and strategic guidance for local reward program changes, senior‑role compensation structuring, and cost‑benefit analysis.
• Link performance management outcomes to compensation decisions, ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in total rewards, compensation, and benefits within a regional or multinational context.
• Proven advisory capability to senior leaders and ability to influence strategic decisions.
• Deep understanding of remuneration regulations and best‑practice governance.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in market benchmarking and job grading.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
