Director of Sales (Corporate & MICE)

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore, a historic 19th-century luxury hotel, is hiring a Director of Sales (Corporate & MICE) to support the Director of Commercial Strategy & Sales in driving room revenue. The role covers managing existing accounts, developing new accounts and key markets, and growing the hotel's Corporate & MICE business.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the rooms revenue budget and individual goals, taking part in preparing the annual Sales and Marketing Plan and room revenue budgets.
• Support the Director of Commercial Strategy & Sales in goal setting and monitor room revenue, room nights and average rate performance of accounts.
• Review group booking pace in advance to build base business, and take part in the Rooms Revenue Meeting and pricing strategy for the corporate segment.
• Develop key account management strategies and individual account activation plans, and manage clients through daily sales activities, site inspections and entertainment.
• Take part in Accor Sales Missions, roadshows, trade shows and promotional events, and plan and activate corporate-related events in the hotel.
• Gain exposure and inclusion in companies' travel programmes.
• Support ad-hoc projects, contribute to corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts, and perform other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma or equivalent; degree holder an advantage.
• At least 7 years of relevant sales experience in a luxury hotel; similar work experience an advantage.
• Fluent oral and written English; ability to speak other languages and a basic understanding of local languages is an advantage.
• Motivated, results-oriented, disciplined, independent yet a team player, with good presentation skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Able to work in different locations, prioritise tasks and use IT systems.
