Documentation Officer - Client Onboarding SG

About the role

The Client Onboarding SG Documentation Officer is a key member of the Private Banking team at Julius Baer. The role works proactively with the business and other internal functions to review account opening documentation, ensuring accounts are opened accurately and on time, and handling enquiries efficiently while escalating to senior colleagues when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Review account documents submitted by Relationship Managers and ensure accounts are opened in the systems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Track document deficiencies accurately and escalate them according to procedure.
• Process account amendments timely and accurately.
• Provide quality service to internal clients such as Relationship Managers and Assistant RMs.
• Support other departments in activities such as signature verification and information retrieval.
• Commit to quality service and continuous process improvement, support new initiatives and ad hoc tasks assigned by the Head of Department, and help the team with user acceptance testing.
• Demonstrate values of honesty, integrity, due care, fair dealing, conflict of interest management and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Work with Legal & Compliance and other stakeholders on documentation requirements.

Required profile

• Degree with at least 3 to 4 years of related banking experience, preferably with strong client documentation experience.
• Able to multitask and work under tight deadlines, with good judgment, initiative and sound organisation and time management.
• Can work with minimal supervision, is meticulous, proactive and hands-on, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of account documentation requirements in a Private Banking environment.
• Good knowledge of MS Office software applications and an aptitude for technology.
