Early Career Cyber Security Analyst (SOC)

About the role

State Street is recruiting an Early Career Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst to assist in the detection, triage, analysis and response to cyber-attacks. The analyst joins a 24/7, 365-day-a-year SOC team in Singapore, which analyzes events from multiple sources across a large enterprise network and works with the Cyber Fusion Center's Advanced Threat, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Content and Red/Purple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Detect cyber security events and incidents in real time through centralized monitoring
• Analyze events from multiple sources such as SIEM, IP/DS, EDR, AV and firewalls
• Respond to and contain incidents and identify eradication strategies
• Identify process improvements and new technology or capability opportunities
• Communicate incident status to lead analysts and managers
• Promote knowledge sharing and help develop the Fusion Center's follow-the-sun mindset
• Receive mentorship from other Cyber Security analysts in the Fusion Center

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Understanding of TCP/IP networks and protocols
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux and macOS
• Good general knowledge of IT architecture, including basic scripting
• High-level understanding of phishing and malware techniques
• Strong time management and communication skills, and proven teamwork ability
