Emergency Preparedness Manager – Hospital

About the role

The incumbent will lead the hospital’s emergency preparedness program, providing strategic oversight and coordination to ensure effective response to emergencies such as pandemics, IT downtime, and other incidents. This role supervises the emergency planning team and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to align with Ministry of Health directives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day emergency preparedness operations and oversee implementation of response plans and SOPs.
• Supervise and coach the Emergency Planning team, allocate workload, and support staff development.
• Coordinate departmental response during emergency activations and support Operations Centre set‑up.
• Maintain equipment inventory, oversee procurement and maintenance, and liaise with the Biomedical Equipment Department.
• Lead participation in Integrated Governance Hub (IGH) planning, coordinate with medical and campus planners, and manage related procurement timelines.
• Provide secretariat support for BCM Steering Committee meetings and assist with MOH emergency preparedness projects.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in healthcare operations or emergency management.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or people‑management role.
• Familiarity with the healthcare regulatory environment and basic project coordination.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and support strategic planning initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
