Engineering Technician III

About the role

Medtronic is looking for an Engineering Technician III in Singapore, working onsite. The role supports Manufacturing Operations through process training, technical support, process monitoring and continuous improvement, partnering with production and engineering to improve performance, quality, compliance and efficiency. It involves independent technical problem solving and guidance to production staff within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Train operators and assess their competency, and coach and train technicians and production personnel
• Analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to find trends, variations and improvement opportunities
• Provide technical support to engineering and production teams to improve cycle time, yield, quality, safety and efficiency
• Monitor processes, troubleshoot and investigate problems to keep operations stable
• Collect, analyze and report salvage, nonconformance and process performance metrics using trend and root cause analysis
• Maintain process designs, procedures and controls in line with SOPs and GMPs
• Run tests, interpret technical data and prepare reports for process improvement and minor projects

Required profile

• High school diploma and 6+ years, or vocational/technical certification and 4+ years, of manufacturing, engineering or technical operations experience
• Experience training operators and assessing competency
• Experience analyzing manufacturing data, including SPC metrics
• Experience troubleshooting, root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Experience in a regulated environment using SOPs

Preferred qualifications

• Medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics or other highly regulated manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of GMP requirements
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
• Technical reporting and engineering project support experience
