Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician will support engineering and production teams by setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting test equipment across semiconductor test facilities. You will work closely with test engineers to ensure test programs run smoothly and hardware is ready for remote testing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams in configuring test equipment for engineering and production activities.
• Manage and sustain all test and backend equipment, including benches, ATE, handlers, Thermostream, ICOS, laser marking systems, etc.
• Perform test program correlations and verify reject decisions.
• Prepare test hardware for remote testing, load programs, and conduct sanity checks.
• Operate bench characterization tools using LabVIEW and RF equipment such as spectrum and network analyzers.
• Carry out characterization or sample screening as requested by internal teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Electronic, Electrical, IT, Biochemical, Mechanical, Computer, Architecture Engineering or equivalent Nitec qualifications.
• Experience supporting HTOL (High Temperature Operating Life) testing.
• Familiarity with ATE testers; experience with 93K is an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience with handlers, probers, Thermostream testing equipment or bench test setups.
• Background working in production or engineering semiconductor test environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
