Enterprise Account Executive (Remote)

About the role

Chainguard provides hardened, secure and production-ready builds of open source software used by engineers and AI agents, serving Fortune 500 enterprises and global leaders such as Anduril, Canva, Fortinet, OpenAI and Snowflake. It is looking for highly motivated sales executives with strong market knowledge who enjoy building relationships with key decision makers to promote secure and reliable software. The position is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute sales plans for your assigned territory
• Convey the value proposition and product differentiators to prospects and customers
• Forecast, meet and exceed quota
• Develop and manage the lead funnel through inbound and outbound leads
• Manage business and track opportunities through CRM and other supporting tools
• Collaborate on improving the sales cycle, including product, support and sales engineering
• Stay familiar with competitors and their offerings

Required profile

• 8+ years of selling SaaS or security experience
• Strong track record of consistently overachieving sales targets
• Ability to learn new products and create processes quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, entrepreneurial and competitive
• Willingness to travel to clients to support sales relationships when required

Required skills

• Domain experience with compute platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps tooling, CI/CD platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins) and the SDLC is strongly recommended
• SaaS or developer tools sales experience is desired
• Startup experience is desired
