Enterprise Data Scientist (AI, NLP, Generative AI)

About the role

LSEG is hiring an Enterprise Data Scientist focused on AI, machine learning, generative AI and natural language processing. The role delivers data-driven solutions for complex customer needs across the Asia-Pacific region, including proof of concepts, agentic AI systems and integrations with client systems. It is a manager-level position based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex customer engagements across Asia-Pacific, building POCs, agentic AI workflows, integrations and deployments.
• Co-create solutions with customers through ideation, technical design and documentation, and lead detailed technical presentations.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and oversee the development of proofs of concept.
• Design and implement AI and machine learning solutions that integrate with client infrastructure, and develop strategies for scaling them on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Build RAG pipelines and agentic AI systems, and establish LLMOps practices including evaluation, guardrails and observability.
• Mentor junior team members across the Singapore and Asia-Pacific team.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a focus on AI, machine learning and NLP, preferably in a senior technical or leadership role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field; a Ph.D. is a plus.
• Customer-facing experience is highly valued, especially in enterprise tech or finance, ideally across Asia-Pacific.

Required skills

• Natural language processing and generative AI, including transformers (BERT, T5) and frontier models, and hands-on agentic AI (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, MCP).
• RAG, fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA, PEFT, quantization, distillation) and LLMOps (LangSmith, RAGAS, Arize).
• Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, JAX) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Python, R and SQL, plus Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Dask and Ray.
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Plotly.
