Environmental / Ecology Consultant

About the role

Ramboll is hiring a full-time Environmental / Ecology Consultant to join its Impact Assessment team in Singapore. The role focuses on identifying, analysing and managing environmental, ecological and social risks and impacts, and works on a diversity of projects across sectors to improve environmental performance and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and interpret environmental and biodiversity data, model, assess impacts, monitor and manage them
• Carry out site assessments, inspections, monitoring and performance reviews during pre-construction, site development and construction phases
• Write reports and prepare figures, including drafting and/or reviewing chapters
• Prepare Environmental Monitoring and Management Plans and train clients on them
• Liaise with clients and project teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (environmental, engineering, science) with 5-8 years of qualifying experience; a Master's in an environmental discipline is advantageous
• Experience with Singapore and South East Asia regulatory regimes and international standards such as IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environment and Social Standards and the Equator Principles
• Deep understanding of energy transition and a track record of consulting advice in renewables, agri-commodities and heavy industry
• Willingness to travel and to be an active member of the team developing business in the Asia Pacific region
• Excellent spoken and written English; fluency in at least one Asian language (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia)

Required skills

• Existing expertise in environmental management, biodiversity, stakeholder engagement, water resources, air quality, noise, ESG and climate risk
• Scoping and planning baseline studies, fieldwork, data analysis, modelling and visualisation of technical data
