Equipment Engineer - Oct 2026 Recruitment Drive

About the role

GlobalFoundries is recruiting an Equipment Engineer for its Fab Operations, working across existing and new fabs to improve processes, raise wafer yields and increase manufacturing productivity. The role may be held as an individual contributor or as a manager, and includes coaching associate engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support equipment readiness, either independently or as a manager
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of equipment
• Carry out maintenance and tool support to ensure equipment readiness
• Troubleshoot and upgrade equipment to minimise downtime
• Analyse and monitor technical charts
• Drive equipment improvement plans and projects
• Follow good safety practices and safeguard tools, equipment and other property
• Support environmental, health, safety and security requirements
• Collaborate on other projects and assignments as needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering, preferably in a wafer fab, electronics or electrical industry
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
• Willingness to work normal and swing shifts
