About the role

The Executive Director, High Net Worth Underwriting leads RGA’s HNW underwriting team across offshore markets, delivering high‑quality underwriting services to key clients. This senior position combines deep expertise in high‑net‑worth underwriting with people‑leadership responsibilities, while also supporting other lines of business as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the HNW underwriting team, maintaining strong client relationships and high satisfaction levels.
• Deliver underwriting solutions in line with service level agreements, including case referrals, quality assurance reviews, product development, and training.
• Collaborate closely with Hong Kong, Singapore and other regional underwriting teams to provide a coordinated HNW proposition.
• Monitor client relationship indicators, initiate corrective actions, and ensure holistic engagement with key clients, retrocession partners, and global stakeholders.
• Work with business development, product development, and pricing functions to support quotation activity and innovate underwriting solutions.
• Underwrite and approve cases within RGA’s standards, authority limits, and provide technical leadership on complex or sensitive HNW cases.
• Drive continuous improvement of underwriting frameworks, guidelines, and operational efficiencies, including technology and AI initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in high‑net‑worth underwriting, preferably within a global reinsurance environment.
• Proven people‑leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high‑performing team.
• Strong client‑facing capabilities and a track record of maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple regions and functions.
