Job description
About the role
The BCA is seeking an experienced Engineer or Architect to act as a business owner for the CORENET X Collaboration Platform and Model Checker (MC) systems. You will support policy, process and system transformation driven by CORENET X, working with IT vendors, the internal IT team, line departments, representatives from seven government agencies and end users to deliver and adopt the platform. The role also involves keeping up with emerging technologies such as AI to improve the Model Checker.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate requirements from regulatory agencies and support end-to-end delivery of CORENET X features and Model Checker capabilities, coordinating with vendors and agencies on milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor emerging AI and machine learning technologies for automated compliance checking and propose ways to integrate them into the Model Checker.
- Evaluate BIM quality and regulatory checking strategies, engage partners on openBIM (IFC) standards, and translate regulatory requirements into computable logic using BIM authoring tool knowledge and IFC-SG standards.
- Develop and maintain BIM test scenarios and validation cases, plan and coordinate user acceptance testing with agencies, manage defect tracking and verify requirements before release.
- Support change management and training so agencies and end users can adopt CORENET X, and act as an in-house expert answering queries on CORENET X, BIM, IFC-SG and AI capabilities.
Required profile
- Degree in a construction-related, architecture or engineering discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in end-to-end construction projects as an engineer or architect.
- Experience in requirements gathering, UAT coordination and system testing.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work across agencies, vendors and internal teams.
- Preferably a good understanding of AI, machine learning, software development and testing processes, including Agile methodologies.
Required skills
- Hands-on experience with BIM authoring tools such as Revit or ArchiCAD.
- Working knowledge of IFC-SG standards and BIM data quality requirements.
- Understanding of Singapore's built environment regulatory processes.
- Ability to turn regulatory requirements into structured, computable logic for automated checking.
