Executive/Senior Engineer (Façade and Forensic Engineering)

About the role

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) regulates building safety and leads the transformation of Singapore's built environment into something safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly. It is recruiting an Executive/Senior Engineer for its Façade and Forensic Engineering Department to help safeguard the built environment through the regulation of building maintenance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer building inspection regimes
• Process inspection reports and compliance documentation
• Support enforcement actions against unauthorised building structures
• Handle public enquiries and feedback on building safety matters
• Investigate building incidents
• Contribute to policy development initiatives for building maintenance frameworks
• Work on other aspects of building control within a dynamic organisation

Required profile

• Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, preferably a practising Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore; candidates preparing for registration are also considered
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in building maintenance, inspection or architectural finishes, or at least 4 years in structural design and analysis of buildings
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
• Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
