Facade Designer – Building Envelope Specialist

About the role

Arup is seeking a Facade Designer to join its building envelope team. You will work on high‑quality consultancy projects, delivering innovative façade, glazing, cladding, wall and roofing solutions for modern buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior team members with façade analysis, design development, modelling and technical research.
• Prepare specifications, reports, presentations, tender submissions and project documentation with high accuracy.
• Support project delivery by managing timeframes, monitoring performance and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to quality systems, compliance standards and health‑and‑safety requirements across projects.
• Build and maintain client relationships and represent the team in meetings and presentations.

Required profile

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience in façade, building envelope or sustainability design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with solid organisational abilities.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
