Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will support the daily operation and maintenance of Grade A commercial buildings, ensuring optimal performance of mechanical, electrical and building management systems while meeting safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain building facilities and M&E systems, including ACMV equipment, chillers, electrical systems and the Building Management System (BMS).
• Plan and coordinate shift schedules and manpower deployment to provide continuous building coverage.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance planning, execution and documentation.
• Supervise contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with operational, safety and quality requirements.
• Support system testing, annual shutdowns and facility improvement projects.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot faults and coordinate rectification with vendors.
• Participate in cost‑management activities such as quotation sourcing, price comparison and vendor coordination.
• Prepare maintenance, operational and incident reports and maintain technical documentation.
• Liaise with clients, tenants, contractors and authorities on operational and maintenance matters.
• Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), fire safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in facilities management or building maintenance of Grade A commercial properties.
• Knowledge of ACMV systems, chillers, BMS and M&E infrastructure.
• Ability to plan shift schedules and deploy manpower (advantageous).
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work rotating shift schedules.
