FECOS Inventory Control - HVM/NPI Senior Manager

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Senior Manager for its FECOS Inventory Control team covering HVM (high volume manufacturing) and NPI (new product introduction). The role oversees the management of the FECOS NPI/HVM inventory management teams, which help improve production operations execution within the tactical horizon. It involves working with Front End Manufacturing Inventory stakeholders to deliver tactical solutions and share best-known methodologies (BKM) across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Performance management: set clear goals and job expectations, run annual written evaluations and mid-year checkpoints, partner on goals, recruit strong members, and manage underperformers; update SuccessFactors with employee information.
• Strategic leadership: work with stakeholders on production operations processes, systems and roadmaps, including BKM sharing, quarter lock and cycle time management; develop and track metrics on fab performance; align with MFG sites and supply chain.
• Tactical leadership: run weekly projections and step goals, optimize line efficiency for maximum output (HVM) and fast NPI cycle times, establish governance for best practices, lead on critical deliverables and escalate issues, hold monthly one-on-ones with team members, and run the Global Inventory Managers meeting.
• AI leadership: identify AI use cases, leverage tools such as Copilot and MAX AI to automate data gathering and reporting, pilot and scale AI solutions, promote AI literacy, and comply with Micron's AI governance, security, privacy and data protection requirements.
• Communication: give regular updates to the team and business partners, manage internal and worldwide meetings efficiently, coordinate escalations between manufacturing sites, and use the Change-ABLE methodology for project communication.
