FECOS Inventory Control - HVM/NPI Senior Manager

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Senior Manager for its FECOS Inventory Control team covering HVM (high volume manufacturing) and NPI (new product introduction). The role oversees the management of the FECOS NPI/HVM inventory management teams, which help improve production operations execution within the tactical horizon, and works closely with Front End Manufacturing Inventory stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Performance management: set clear goals and job expectations, run annual written evaluations and mid-year checkpoints, partner with team members on goals, recruit strong members, and manage underperformers; update SuccessFactors with employee information.
• Strategic leadership: work with stakeholders on production operations processes, systems, roadmaps and BKM sharing, align worldwide production operations to benchmark cycle times, develop and track fab performance metrics, and encourage innovation and technical leadership.
• Tactical leadership: run weekly projections and step goals, optimize line efficiency for maximum output (HVM) and fast NPI cycle time, establish governance for best-known practices across the front end network, and lead on critical deliverables and escalated issues.
• Team development: hold monthly one-on-ones, run weekly reviews of programs and projects, facilitate the Global Inventory Managers meeting, and coordinate escalations between manufacturing sites.
• AI leadership: identify AI use cases, leverage tools such as Copilot and MAX AI to automate data gathering and reporting, pilot and scale AI solutions, promote AI literacy, and ensure compliance with Micron's AI governance, security, privacy and data protection requirements.
• Communication: give regular updates to the team and business partners, manage project communication through the Change-ABLE methodology, and develop external relationships.
