Product Upgrade Engineer (SFS Inspection Systems)

About the role

KLA, a provider of inspection tools, metrology systems and process solutions for electronics, is hiring a Product Upgrade Engineer for its SFS inspection systems within the KLA Services team. The role leads and executes product upgrade projects, working closely with manufacturing and field service teams, and requires international travel of about 80-90% of the time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute product upgrade projects for SFS inspection systems.
• Develop, validate and document upgrade procedures, including hardware installation, software configuration and system calibration.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams to define upgrade requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Perform system-level testing and troubleshooting to verify upgrade performance and resolve technical issues.
• Implement test plans and methodologies to validate new features and improvements.
• Analyze system performance data and customer feedback to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Maintain documentation of upgrade procedures, test results and system configurations.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations throughout the upgrade process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in product development, integration or field engineering within the semiconductor equipment industry.
• Proven experience with hardware integration, software configuration and system-level troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; project management experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 80-90% of the time.
