Field Service Engineer – Marine (Electrical/Mechanical)

About the role

Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Marine Field Service Engineer to provide hands‑on technical service for MTU electrical, electronic and mechanical power systems. You will work on‑site at customer locations or in our workshop, delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of high‑performance engines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair/overhaul of MTU engines and associated equipment.
• Manage field service jobs independently according to work orders, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct system acceptance tests with customers, verify performance and document results.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical or system‑related issues efficiently.
• Prepare detailed technical service reports, investigation summaries and corrective actions.
• Submit travel and job completion reports to record project milestones.
• Maintain high standards of safety, health and compliance with WSHA and company WSH guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement of service processes.

Required profile

• ITE, Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a service or maintenance engineering environment, preferably with power systems or industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of hybrid, electrified or digitalised power solutions is preferred.
