Field Service Engineer - Water Systems

About the role

Veolia designs, supplies and operates water systems ranging from oil and gas to municipal water, microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. The Field Service Engineer provides direction and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives, working within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity and resolve them through immediate action or short-term planning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general technical direction and assistance to customers on the operation, maintenance, repair, logistical support and installation of Veolia's products.
• Interpret data and technical instructions on site.
• Manage projects and field service, reporting promptly on program status, customer problems, failures and trends.
• Train customers on proper operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment.
• Report regularly to Product Support and Field Service on program activities and problems, review malfunctions and analyse undesirable trends.
• Recommend improvements, review the effectiveness of maintenance actions and identify training needs.
• Act as the focal point for the assigned account, develop and maintain a customer preference relationship, and sell the value of Veolia's products and services.
• Meet customer KPIs and ensure high service standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in chemical or environmental engineering; chemistry or equivalent knowledge and experience are welcome.
• Experience in water treatment and field service in the chemical industry is an added advantage.
• Able to work well in a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Valid class 3 driving licence; willing to work on site in a refinery.
