Field Service Engineer - Water Treatment Systems

About the role

Veolia designs, supplies and operates water systems ranging from oil and gas to municipal water, microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. As Field Service Engineer for water treatment systems in Singapore, you act as the company's point of contact for customers, lead frontline delivery and support a team of specialists and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact for customers, build relationships and manage the client portfolio, leading frontline handling of demands and deliveries
• Work closely with the Singapore Service Leader, service centre leader and sales/proposal team to deliver work orders and projects and resolve customer issues
• Liaise with procurement and third-party vendors and contractors on quotations, site surveys, orders, deliveries and work execution
• Initiate and implement modification and retrofit projects (value-added projects)
• Manage a team of specialists and subcontractors, giving technical, resource and reporting guidance
• Manage and execute ad-hoc services and small projects, both managerially and hands-on
• Implement and promote EHS and ethics policies, manage service orders in compliance with regulations and maintain a link with EHS leaders
• Be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by call for field service, EHS and production emergencies

Required profile

• Mechanical, electrical, instrument or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited institution, with at least 2 years of experience in field service or operations and maintenance for ultra-pure water, wastewater and process treatment
• Diploma holders in electrical or instrument backgrounds with 5 years' experience may also apply
• Willingness to travel within the territory
• Experience managing a site team of 4 to 6 people, and 3 years in water treatment O&M (RO, EDI, UF, filters, WWTP) are added advantages

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Workspace applications
• Knowledge of water treatment systems such as UF, RO and EDI/IX
• Experience with SCADA or HMI control systems is an advantage
• Strong oral and written communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, and proven analytical and quality improvement ability
