Finance Director

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Director will act as a strategic partner, overseeing the full finance function across planning, reporting, treasury, and governance. This high‑impact position provides visibility across global operations and influences business strategy, capital allocation, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes.
• Drive performance analysis, variance reporting and product profitability insights.
• Oversee end‑to‑end finance operations (AP, AR, GL, closing) across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax and reporting requirements and manage auditors and tax advisors.
• Develop and execute funding strategies, manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity.
• Partner with operations, supply chain and commercial teams to optimise costs and support M&A, joint ventures and market entry initiatives.
• Lead a high‑performing finance team of 13‑14 members and champion digital/AI transformation.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA, ACCA or CFA preferred.
• 12+ years of experience with senior leadership exposure, including start‑up/SME environments.
• Proven fund‑raising experience and ability to implement ERP systems.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial or capital‑intensive settings, preferably with China‑related operations.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Strong commercial acumen and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
