About the role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Director will act as a strategic partner, overseeing the full finance spectrum across planning, reporting, treasury and governance. This high‑impact position provides visibility across global operations and direct influence on business strategy, capital allocation and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes.
- Drive performance analysis, including variance and product profitability insights.
- Partner with business leaders to optimise costs across procurement, production and overheads.
- Support investment decisions through scenario modelling and capex evaluation.
- Oversee end‑to‑end finance operations (AP, AR, GL, closing) across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax and reporting requirements.
- Manage external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
- Develop and execute funding strategies across debt, grants and equity raises.
- Manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity to support growth.
- Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities and FX risk management.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to operations, supply chain and commercial teams.
- Support M&A, joint ventures and market entry initiatives through financial modelling and due diligence.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team of 13‑14 members.
- Champion digital and AI‑driven transformation within the finance function.
Required profile
- 12+ years of finance experience with senior leadership exposure.
- Experience in start‑up/SME environments with full visibility over financials and direct board interaction.
- Fund‑raising experience is essential.
- Proven ability to implement ERP systems in environments lacking proper financial ERP.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial or capital‑intensive settings, preferably with production/plant experience.
- Strong exposure to cross‑border operations, ideally with China‑related experience.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin for stakeholder management.
- Deep knowledge of accounting standards (SFRS/IFRS) and commercial acumen.
Required skills
- CPA, ACCA or CFA qualification (preferred).
- ERP implementation expertise.
- Financial modelling proficiency.
- Strong understanding of SFRS and IFRS standards.
