Finance Manager

About the role

Lumina Advisory & Global Search, a consultancy firm specialising in executive search and strategic advisory, is recruiting on behalf of its client a Finance Manager in Singapore. The role reports to the Group Finance Director and covers financial accounting operations and management reporting, including financial planning, budgeting and analysis, in line with accounting principles and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Group Finance Director in developing, implementing and monitoring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
• Review consolidated financial statements, management reports and budget variance analysis for the Group.
• Coordinate and lead the Finance Managers of subsidiaries in performing group financial activities.
• Ensure financial, accounting and analytical reports follow management policies and accounting standards.
• Take part in and present insights from financial reports in management and board meetings.
• Manage relationships with external auditors for financial audits.
• Complete and submit GST returns and review CIT returns submitted by the tax agent.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, analysis and presentations to management.
• Oversee the costing function for manufacturing activities in Singapore.
• Supervise local and overseas accounts staff across the full range of accounting responsibilities.
• Some travel within Asia is required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, with strong exposure to cost accounting/costing and team supervision.
• Manufacturing exposure, current or previous, is a must.
• CA/CMA membership or equivalent is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and taxation.
• Prior experience with Microsoft Business Central is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
