Financial Controller

About the role

Zuellig Pharma is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function across a high‑growth, multi‑market healthcare business. The role combines team leadership, cash and working‑capital optimisation, strategic commercial partnering and finance transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and stabilise a 20‑person Accounts & Credit team, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Drive net working‑capital optimisation, including DSO, DIO and DPO, and oversee purchase‑to‑pay, credit, collections and cash‑management processes.
• Partner with senior management to evaluate margins, commercial proposals and provide data‑driven financial insights for new and renewing principals.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, system consolidation and AR automation to improve efficiency and controls.
• Ensure robust financial, management, corporate and compliance reporting in line with group and regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, bankers and legal advisors.
• Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to maintain effective inventory controls and drive key account management for timely billing and payments.
• Oversee corporate tax planning, transfer‑pricing and GST controls, ensuring accurate filings and resolution of tax queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance or a related field.
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 5‑8 years of post‑qualification commercial finance experience in a sizable commercial environment or MNC.
• At least 3 years of direct people‑management experience, preferably leading teams of up to 20.
• Strong knowledge of corporate taxation, transfer pricing, cash‑flow optimisation, risk management and commercial contracts.
• Commercial acumen, resilience and mature problem‑solving abilities in a high‑volume, fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
