Financial Controller – Local Sales Unit

About the role

The Controller will act as the strategic and business partner to the Local Sales Unit (LSU) Manager, overseeing financial performance, planning and analysis for Hitachi Energy Service's LSU. This senior finance role drives decision‑making, risk management and governance across the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and execute the Service strategy within the LSU, translating it into business plans and measurable targets.
• Lead business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes in line with global and hub guidelines.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Service Business Unit and other company functions within the LSU.
• Assess financial implications of strategic decisions, build scenario analyses and recommend actions.
• Monitor overall LSU performance, provide data‑driven insights, and drive profitable growth, cost efficiency, productivity and capital optimisation.
• Ensure risk‑management processes, contract management activities and compliance with global BU instructions and company regulations.
• Maintain financial governance, improve Finance and Controlling processes, ensure transparent reporting and robust internal controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of risk management, contract administration and corporate governance.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective internal control frameworks.
