Frontend Central Product Integration Engineering (cPIE) Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Frontend Central Product Integration Engineering (cPIE) Engineer or Senior Engineer to lead new initiatives that deliver process capability, high bits-per-wafer yield and fast speed through innovation and collaboration with multi-functional teams. The role sits within the cPIE team and focuses on high-value-bits (PG2+) yield.

Key responsibilities

• Identify process, test and design improvement opportunities, including UE_ROW and all quality indices, Front End-PTS integration and high-value-bits yield.
• Model, monitor and benchmark tool performance, and carry out process equipment prognostics and process integration optimization.
• Identify test optimization opportunities for high product-grade yield improvement.
• Work with Process & Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, PIE and Data Science teams to establish feasibility, demonstrate business value and prototype solution mock-ups.
• Partner with Global Quality, Product Engineering, Central PEE, SMAI, Technology Development and suppliers to deliver end-to-end solutions and deploy BKM development to production.
• Lead the design and optimization of current systems, methods, tools and skills, manage priorities and improvements to global business processes, and work independently with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours when needed and to travel as required.

Required profile

• PhD, Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with exposure to product integration, test solutions, product engineering or circuit design engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and control systems.
• Proven ability to make decisions, multitask, solve problems and address root causes, with critical thinking.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate verbally and in writing, and travel as required.

Required skills

• Data analysis tools such as Y3, JMP or Python.
• Statistical and machine learning proficiency is advantageous.
