Frontend Engineer (Senior Consultant Level)

About the role

Vinova, a development company founded in 2010 for mobile, web and enterprise applications, is hiring a Frontend Engineer (up to Senior Consultant level) for a major Government project in Singapore. The role combines deep technical expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks with UI/UX best practices to deliver secure, accessible and high-performance digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain responsive, accessible, high-performance user interfaces across devices and browsers
• Implement XP practices (TDD, pair programming, continuous refactoring) and enforce reusable components and clean code
• Work with Business Analysts and Product Managers to turn user stories into technical requirements, and with QA to achieve 100% automated test coverage
• Help automate frontend build, deployment and release pipelines and implement security practices against XSS, CSRF and similar vulnerabilities
• Optimise performance (lazy loading, code splitting) and accessibility, and document architecture and frontend standards

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• Proven experience building scalable frontend applications in an Agile environment
• Strong sense of software craftsmanship and web performance optimisation

Required skills

• JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3; React.js, Next.js, Vue.js or Angular
• State management (Redux, Zustand, MobX) and UI libraries (Tailwind CSS, Material-UI, Chakra UI)
• Build tools (Webpack, Vite, esbuild) and CSS methods (BEM, CSS Modules, Styled Components)
• Testing (Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library); RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets; CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Bonus: SSR/SSG, React Native or Flutter, WebAssembly, Storybook, OAuth/JWT/OIDC
