General Foreman – Building Construction

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
• Lead and manage construction workers, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure work is completed according to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, contractors, and project managers.
• Monitor materials, tools, equipment, and manpower requirements.
• Inspect ongoing work and ensure proper construction methods are followed.
• Maintain daily site records and report progress, issues, and delays to management.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
• Resolve routine site problems and coordinate work between different trades.

Required profile

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction (preferred).
• 5–10 years of relevant construction site experience, preferably in building construction.
• Proven experience as a General Foreman, Construction Foreman, or Site Supervisor.
• Good knowledge of building construction methods, materials, and site procedures.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong team leadership and manpower management skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and quality standards.
• Willingness to work on construction sites and flexible working hours when required.
