Global CIO / Head of IT / CTO – Software Engineering

About the role

A fast-growing multi-million dollar multinational is looking for a new CIO, Senior VP of IT or Head of IT to manage its IT team and lead its IT digital transformation across the group. The client is planning an investment in IT and wants a senior leader who can set the IT strategy and roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership for the internal IT team covering software development, enterprise applications / ERP, cyber security and IT infrastructure.
• Lead the engineering of web-based applications.
• Manage IT demands from senior business stakeholders: set and manage expectations, identify needs and provide solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritise demands, driving IT digitalisation initiatives and exploiting emerging technologies.
• Provide IT strategic planning and direction for the IT roadmap, including identifying suitable technologies and turning them into viable digital implementations.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of managerial experience leading a sizable team of at least 30 people.
• At least 8 years of experience as an overall Head of IT / Technology.
• Proven track record in software development and .NET.
• Bachelor's degree; no additional qualifications required.

Required skills

• Software development and SDLC
• .NET Core, C# and ASP.NET
• SAP ERP (an added advantage)
