Global Facilities Project Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a Global Facilities Project Engineer for its Fab 10A site. The role leads and manages the new construction project planning process, working with stakeholders to define objectives and deliverables aligned with user requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the new construction project planning process.
• Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables with stakeholders, aligned to user requirements.
• Prepare space, cost and schedule reports and long-term plans for management review.
• Develop and manage initial schedules, budgets and resource allocations for cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Maintain communication with the project team and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Ensure roles, responsibilities and accountabilities are clear to the project team.
• Collect, classify and evaluate data used in supporting the new construction project planning evaluation request.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from a recognised institute of higher learning.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in project management, including large-scale construction projects, preferably semiconductor fab or related facilities construction in high-tech, pharmaceutical, oil and gas industries.
• Demonstrable experience in construction or semiconductor project management is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial understanding of project cost estimates, budgeting and cost control.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approval processes is highly valued.

Required skills

• Project program management, planning and schedule control.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, construction project management software, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate and motivate stakeholders across departments and work independently and collaboratively.
• Relevant professional certification such as PMP or LEED is preferred.
