Global Sea Logistics Yield & Allocation Specialist

About the role

As a member of Kuehne+Nagel’s Freight Forwarding team, you will optimise space utilisation and yield across the Asia‑North Europe sea trade lane. You will work closely with carriers, regional offices and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient allocation decisions and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage committed space agreements with carriers to maximise volume, profitability and service performance.
• Monitor allocation performance, provide steering instructions and minimise penalties.
• Partner with regional stakeholders to ensure compliance with space agreements and consistent execution.
• Standardise and continuously improve allocation processes for operational efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, origin offices and strategic carrier partners.
• Allocate carrier capacity across services, trade strings, load ports, destinations and National Account Customers.
• Own operational escalations, collaborating with local offices, agents and carriers to resolve issues.
• Analyse market conditions to identify optimal cargo routing and shipping solutions for both FAK and fixed‑rate shipments.
• Plan for disruptions such as void sailings and reallocate space to minimise impact.
• Produce monthly performance reports, track liftings against targets and use data‑driven insights for business decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sea logistics, with knowledge of trade lane management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and offering practical recommendations.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
