About the role

ExxonMobil is seeking an experienced Government Affairs Advisor to provide strategic guidance on legislative and regulatory matters affecting the energy sector. The role will influence policy at senior levels and align advocacy efforts with the company’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse complex legislative and regulatory developments, delivering strategic insights to senior management.
• Develop and execute integrated advocacy strategies that shape government policy in line with ExxonMobil’s objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with senior government officials, industry leaders, and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across the organisation to integrate government affairs strategies with business goals.
• Represent ExxonMobil in meetings with government bodies, policymakers, and external organisations.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, presentations, and proposals to internal and external senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in government relations or public policy within the energy sector.
• Proven ability to influence senior policymakers and navigate complex regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to translate legislative changes into business‑relevant insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
