Group Financial Controller – Life Sciences

About the role

The company, a global leader in the life‑sciences sector, is creating a Group Financial Controller position to support its APAC operations. Reporting to the CFO, the role combines strategic partnership with regional heads and hands‑on oversight of financial consolidation, reporting and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end financial consolidation for multiple regional commercial offices and ensure timely, compliant management and group reports.
• Direct regional budgeting, planning and forecasting cycles, providing data‑driven insights for operational decisions.
• Manage working capital, design internal controls and ensure alignment with statutory corporate‑governance standards.
• Drive finance optimisation and automation initiatives, and support due‑diligence for regional investments or distributor transitions.
• Oversee external audit and tax advisory relationships and mentor a dedicated finance team.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience in senior regional leadership roles within multinational matrix organisations.
• Background in trading, distribution or high‑volume, inventory‑heavy sectors, preferably medical devices or life sciences.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business plus a recognised professional qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA).
• Strong emotional intelligence, stakeholder‑management capability and cultural agility.
