HBM Product System & Engineering Engineer (Media Health Reliability)

About the role

Micron is looking for an engineer to join its High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Product Engineering Media Health team. You will lead a high-performing team that drives intrinsic and extrinsic reliability testing for Micron's latest HBM products, including DRAM and interface dies and stacked products. The role focuses on reducing extrinsic DPM (Time 0 and field), leading the intrinsic reliability charter, optimizing the manufacturing test flow, and improving fab processes based on quality failures.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop reliability stress, test flows and test plans covering all product reliability aspects.
• Work with the Global Quality team to define the qualification plan, manage qualification execution and drive resolution of gating issues.
• Reduce extrinsic reliability (Time 0 and field DPM) and intrinsic reliability through optimized manufacturing test flows and test strategy, meeting quality, cost and cycle time KPIs.
• Debug and resolve qual and RMA device issues using electric failure analysis (EFA) and physical failure analysis (PFA).
• Advise fab teams on process conversions to improve yield, quality, reliability and performance, and manage the associated risks with Product Managers.
• Promote innovation and drive changes that give Micron a technical advantage.
• Mentor team members, develop project management skills, and make final decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization.
• Collaborate with Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development and Quality/Reliability teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in semiconductor devices, circuit design or product validation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving approach focused on root cause analysis.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, clear communication of technical concepts, and a commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CMOS technology, DRAM architecture and basic device physics.
• Exposure to data analysis, statistics and scripting tools such as Python or JMP.
