Head of Cybersecurity

About the role

We are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Information Security leader who will own enterprise security capabilities and guide a dedicated team protecting the technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Security Operations function, collaborating with the SOC to improve threat detection, incident response and cyber‑defence.
• Oversee infrastructure security, including vulnerability management, server hardening, security monitoring and platform health across on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Drive cloud security governance, reviewing new cloud solutions and embedding appropriate controls throughout the technology lifecycle.
• Provide oversight of Identity & Access Management (IAM) to ensure effective identity governance and access controls.
• Conduct security architecture and design reviews, offering practical guidance to infrastructure, cloud and application teams.
• Partner with technology and business stakeholders to balance security requirements with business objectives while maintaining a strong security posture.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of security professionals, fostering capability uplift and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in Information Security with strong expertise in Security Operations, Infrastructure Security and Cloud Security.
• Proven track record leading technical security teams in large enterprises.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA or CRISC are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to engage both technical teams and senior business leaders.
