Head of DevOps

About the role

Lead transformational initiatives at a world‑leading financial institution, shaping the next generation of cloud infrastructure, developer experience, automation, resiliency and platform engineering at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise DevOps and platform engineering strategy across global technology organizations.
• Modernise infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, observability, automation and SRE practices.
• Build scalable, secure, highly resilient platforms for mission‑critical banking and trading applications.
• Drive cloud transformation across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.
• Partner with CTOs, application development leaders, cybersecurity, infrastructure and business stakeholders.
• Establish best practices for release engineering, IaC, containerisation and platform security.
• Lead globally distributed teams of DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers and technical leads.
• Manage large‑scale programs, budgets, vendor relationships and strategic initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven leadership of global engineering organisations and large transformation programmes.
• Experience in highly regulated financial services or fintech environments.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
