Head of HR – Site (Singapore)

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Site HR Head to join its Singapore senior leadership team. The role will lead all human‑resource functions for the Tuas manufacturing site, aligning HR strategy with business objectives and fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR leadership, consultation and support to the site SLT, line managers and employees.
• Translate global HR strategies into locally applicable action plans and operational plans.
• Develop and execute change‑management strategies for HR programs and other global initiatives.
• Drive employee engagement, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management and employee relations.
• Lead a team of three HR professionals, coaching and developing them to deliver high‑quality services.
• Monitor HR effectiveness through key metrics, reporting and corrective actions.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects to improve site efficiency and talent pipelines.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as an HR generalist, including senior‑leadership responsibility for an HR team.
• Background in biotech, pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven ability to translate corporate strategy into actionable HR plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
