Head of Strategy

About the role

This newly created senior leadership position sits at the heart of Zespri’s long‑term growth agenda. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Head of Strategy will shape and operationalise the enterprise strategy that drives Zespri towards its 2035 ambition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous refinement of Zespri’s enterprise strategy, ensuring alignment with the 2035 vision.
• Set and evolve the strategic agenda, overseeing the strategy team, business modelling and insights capabilities.
• Frame strategic choices, priorities and trade‑offs for the Executive Team and Board.
• Own the Board Priority Plan process, establishing, agreeing and tracking enterprise priorities, metrics and objectives.
• Translate strategy into clear, sequenced execution priorities and ensure coherence across the organisation.
• Partner with the EPMO to scope, resource and deliver strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Market Strategy teams to respond to portfolio shifts and support cohesive operations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning or related functions.
• Strong track record of influencing executive teams and boards.
• Excellent analytical and business modelling capabilities.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic recommendations.
• Experience working in a global, multi‑market environment.
