Head of Tax, APAC

About the role

Digital Edge, a fast‑growing data‑center platform in Asia, is seeking a Head of Tax for the APAC region. Reporting to the Group VP, FP&A & Treasury, you will be the senior tax voice in the deal room, shaping tax strategy during a critical phase of capital deployment and regional expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax structuring for acquisitions, joint ventures and project financings, delivering optimal holding, funding and repatriation structures.
• Partner with Corporate Development and Treasury to ensure every dollar is deployed under a defensible, tax‑efficient framework.
• Design, implement and maintain a robust regional transfer pricing policy covering intra‑group financing, services, IP and cost allocations.
• Identify and secure data‑centre specific tax incentives and concessions across priority jurisdictions (Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, India, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines).
• Oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance through in‑country teams and external advisors.
• Lead tax audits, controversy management and engagement with revenue authorities throughout APAC.
• Build and scale the regional tax function, including people, processes, technology and the external advisor panel.

Required profile

• Senior tax professional with proven experience in tax structuring, acquisitions and project finance.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with Corporate Development, Treasury, Legal and senior investors.
• Track record of establishing transfer pricing frameworks for multi‑entity, multi‑country organisations.
• Experience securing tax incentives and managing compliance in APAC jurisdictions.
• Leadership experience building and scaling a regional tax team.
