Head of Valuation Control & Methodology

About the role

The Valuation Control team ensures the accuracy and integrity of Standard Chartered Bank's financial statements across Corporate & Investment Banking and Treasury. As the Global Head of Valuation Control, you will lead this team, driving the development of robust valuation methodologies and supporting technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously improve valuation models and methodologies to meet market best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Leverage advanced market data analytics and technology to enhance pricing precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with front‑office traders, risk, compliance, audit and regulatory stakeholders to address valuation issues.
• Ensure all valuation practices are fully compliant with evolving regulatory standards.
• Prepare detailed valuation reports and documentation for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in valuation control, product control or related finance functions.
• Strong understanding of complex financial instruments, derivatives and securities.
• Excellent analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to influence and build relationships across multiple business lines.
