Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

The St. Regis Singapore is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to ensure guest rooms and public areas remain in optimal condition. You will respond quickly to repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and support the engineering team in delivering a seamless hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repairs, as well as light‑bulb and filter replacements.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and record daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Program televisions, update air‑handler schedules, and adjust temperature settings via computer.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to acquire skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy‑conservation practices.
• Ability to follow safety, security, and company policies, including proper handling of flammable materials.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and strong guest‑service orientation.
• Physical capability to lift/move objects up to 50 lb and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
