HR Business Partner – Asia Field Management Unit

About the role

Conservation International is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support its Asia Field Management Unit (FMU) based in Singapore. Reporting to the FMU Chief Field Officer and dotted‑line to the Chief People Officer, the role will be a key member of both the regional leadership team and the global People & Culture Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic advisor and business coach to regional leaders, providing guidance on sensitive HR matters in line with CI’s mission.
• Deliver HR Business Partner support to all CI staff in Singapore, ensuring consistent application of HR policies, local employment legislation, and employee‑relations processes.
• Manage work‑permit, visa and international assignee compliance for Singapore‑based employees.
• Identify workforce needs, competency gaps and develop staffing plans to promote development and retention across Singapore, Philippines, Cambodia, China and Timor Leste.
• Oversee employee‑relations across the Asia region, conduct formal investigations and participate in disciplinary actions in compliance with local labour laws.
• Partner with global programs or lead recruitment for key and local positions, building internal talent pipelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR professional with strategic and operational expertise.
• Strong knowledge of regional and local labour laws, employee‑relations, compensation & benefits, recruitment and learning & development.
• Ability to work across multiple Asian countries and support international assignee processes.
• Excellent advisory and coaching skills for senior leaders.
