HR Director – Regional HR Strategy & Operations

About the role

The HR Director will lead regional HR strategy and operations for a well‑established shipping company, shaping compensation, benefits and performance frameworks that support business goals across Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement competitive compensation, benefits and KPI frameworks across multiple countries.
• Drive recruitment strategy, including senior and critical hires, and oversee organisational design initiatives.
• Act as the bridge between headquarters and regional teams, ensuring HR policies are globally aligned yet locally adaptable.
• Manage end‑to‑end HR operations – compliance, payroll, onboarding and employee relations – for all Southeast Asian offices.
• Develop and mentor regional HR teams while championing employee engagement and culture programs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a senior regional or multinational role.
• Proven track record in compensation reviews, bonus design and KPI framework implementation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong cross‑cultural competence and measurable organisational improvement achievements.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are a plus.
• Experience in logistics, shipping or supply‑chain industries is advantageous but not mandatory.
