HR Executive – People Operations

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is Singapore's premier teacher‑education institute. We are seeking an HR Executive to support our people operations, leveraging AI and digital tools to streamline routine tasks and provide data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in HR system support, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing and post‑implementation adoption.
• Handle end‑to‑end HR processes such as appointments, contract renewals, leave, benefits and employee exits.
• Prepare HR reports and dashboards, turning workforce data into actionable observations for leaders.
• Use approved AI and digital tools to draft correspondence, analyse exit interview feedback, and create process documentation, with human review.
• Review and propose automation or simplification of HR workflows, templates and tools.
• Respond to queries from line managers and employees, leveraging the HR knowledge base.
• Maintain the quality and accuracy of HR knowledge base content and templates.
• Ensure data protection and confidentiality standards when using AI tools.
• Support HR projects and initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Polytechnic Diploma, preferably in Business Studies with a focus on Human Resource Management.
• 2–3 years of relevant HR experience.
• Familiarity with Singapore's Employment Act, immigration rules and work‑pass procedures.
• Meticulous, detail‑oriented and comfortable working with numbers and data.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis).
