Engineer / Senior Engineer - Cleanroom Operations

About the role

The National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) is recruiting an Engineer or Senior Engineer to oversee engineering operations in its GMP compounding hub. The role keeps cleanroom systems reliable, maintains them and ensures regulatory compliance, supporting HVAC, BMS/EMS, critical equipment and troubleshooting, as well as audits, investigations and continuous improvement. It works closely with stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant aseptic compounding in a 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cleanroom operations and critical environmental parameters, and coordinate environmental monitoring, testing and compliance activities
• Ensure compliance with GMP, cleanroom standards and regulatory requirements
• Support audits, investigations, CAPA and change control processes
• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance for HVAC and critical engineering systems, and coordinate vendor servicing, troubleshooting, repairs and calibration
• Maintain SOPs, maintenance records, technical documentation and reports
• Support facility upgrading, improvement and expansion projects, and analyse system performance for continuous improvement
• Support budgeting, procurement and contract management, conduct risk assessments and support emergency preparedness planning
• Provide engineering support for critical building and utility systems, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience in cleanroom maintenance is an advantage
• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in ACMV systems
• Self-driven, able to plan work, set goals and solve operational issues independently; proactive, resourceful and positive
