Industrial Engineer – Manufacturing Productivity

About the role

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design systems and processes that boost manufacturing productivity in its semiconductor fabs. The role involves creating efficient equipment layouts, capacity models, and safety procedures to maximize plant utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement equipment and machine layouts, workflow production tools, and capacity models.
• Document compliance with industry safety and design standards.
• Analyze worker productivity and flow, recommending improvements to reduce waste and improve cost control.
• Maintain metrics for plant and equipment capacity, identifying bottlenecks.
• Establish accident‑prevention measures and schedule training programs for production personnel.
• Perform all activities safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial engineering experience, preferably in a semiconductor wafer fab.
• Proven ability to develop capacity models and apply lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to safety standards.
