Trainee Aircraft Technician (13‑Month Programme)

About the role

This 13‑month trainee programme is designed to develop the next generation of aircraft technicians. You will start with classroom theory in China and then move to hands‑on training at SIA Engineering’s base, line, engine and component maintenance divisions in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing and overhaul of aircraft systems.
• Apply theoretical knowledge to real‑world tasks in base, line, engine and component maintenance.
• Support senior technicians in diagnosing and rectifying technical issues.
• Comply with safety and quality standards throughout all maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Engineering Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised institution.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Singapore for the on‑the‑job phase.
• Positive, hardworking attitude and a genuine interest in aviation technology.
• Ability to differentiate colours for work‑related tasks.
